Find Her Compass is open for business
When Nicole and I started talking about what we wanted Find Her Compass to be, we knew we wanted to create places we wanted for ourselves. We found that when we got together with each other, with like minded women, that even if nothing changed, we felt better.
What if we could amplify that feeling to more women? Is this something other women want?
The answer was a resounding yes, during our early survey data and the presence of so many of you at our 2 Open Houses in January, it was clear that there’s a need for our third space. At our most recent open house, someone said, “I didnt know I needed this”.
Humans are social creatures. We thrive when we’re supported and loved. The self care industry is built on things you can do on your own, but the greatest self care we can give ourselves is finding our people.
In Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut, he wrote about God organizing the world into units called a “karass.” I read this this book in high school. I remember so little about my academic career, but that this concept stuck with me to this day.
“A karass is a group of beings whose job it is to bring into existence one of God’s holy ideas. Members of a karass all further the collective purpose seamlessly, though many never even know they are part of this karass. When you meet someone who is a member of your karass, even though it may make no sense to you on a human level, you will recognize them as a family member instantly. Your souls will resonate, even if you appear to have nothing in common on the human level. This is how the Divine gets important things done in the world. Your karass is like a peaceful army that activates to bring light into the world.” (Lissa Rankin, Finding Your Soul Tribe).
Whether you believe in a higher power or not, this idea that there are certain people who are meant to come together might speak to you. The power of coming together during our Open Houses has proven that we’ve found our people. As we continue to evolve our work here, we ask you to lean in, be involved, give and receive.
Find Her Compass is open for business. Welcome.
